The German-Turkmen health forum took place in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, at the end of September. It was the fourth event of its kind, designed to encourage debate and cooperation between the two countries. The German delegation included Oliver Zimmermann of Nickl & Partner, senior representatives of the health ministry, and the ambassador to Turkmenistan. The host country was represented by the health minister and the heads of leading hospitals.

In his presentation, Oliver Zimmermann gave an insight into the firm’s long experience of planning and building state-of-the-art hospitals. He emphasised our policy of creating cost-effective buildings that offer an attractive working environment and help patients to recover.

Participants in the forum discussed possible cooperation on hospital building projects, with particular emphasis on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infection in children with cancer.
