The European Healthcare Design Congress 2016 took place in London from 26 to 27 June 2016. Hieronimus Nickl gave a lecture on the subject of “Designing Supportive Settings for Children and Families” as part of the Congress. The winners of the first European Healthcare Design Awards 2016 were announced in a ceremony at the end of the event.

The winning participants, who were previously announced in June, had entered a hotly contested competition. Following an intensive assessment process, 10 projects remained in the running. Nickl & Partner Architekten AG received a commendation in the Healthcare Design (Under 25,000 sqm) category for the

SZX Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Hospital, Vienna
Mother-Child and Surgical Centre sub-project.

We are delighted by this award and view it as both validation of our creative architecture and an exceptional acknowledgement of our high-quality work.
