Münchenstift GmbH is planning to build a new senior citizens’ residence and nursing home on its property on Franz-Nißl-Straße in the Munich district of Allach-Untermenzing. In the tender process, the follow-up contract for service phases 5-9 of Münchenstift’s new nursing home on Franz-Nißl-Straße was awarded to Nickl & Partner. Completion is scheduled for March 2024.
The design is characterised in particular by its clear focus on sustainability and an environmentally compatible design approach. Together with the façade greening, the lively structured outer skin of the wood façade conveys a feeling of comfort.
This feeling continues in the communal areas, where 2.3-metre-deep balconies create visual connections to the surrounding green countryside. The balconies are planted with climbing plants, which provide shade, create a feel-good atmosphere and improve the microclimate. Generous glazing of the south façade provides a natural, room-high supply of daylight.
Criteria that are of particular importance for the new building of Münchenstift such as sufficient supply of daylight with an appropriate glazing ratio as well as thermal insulation, sun and visual protection are taken into account in the façade design.

Congratulations to the whole team on this great achievement!
