Christine Nickl-Weller has been Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of Nickl & Partner Architekten AG since 2019 and previously served for many years as Chief Executive Officer. As a co-founder, she has shaped the firm’s conceptual and strategic direction since 1989 and is internationally regarded as one of the leading voices in healthcare architecture. She played a key role in developing the concept of “Healing Architecture” and was an early advocate of the importance of healing-supportive, human-centered spaces in architecture and urban design. In research, teaching, and practice, she combines architectural quality with scientific depth and social responsibility. From 2004 to 2017, she was a professor at TU Berlin in the field of “Design of Hospitals and Healthcare Buildings.” Christine Nickl-Weller studied architecture at the Technical University of Munich.
