The volume ‘Das Kranke(n)haus. Wie Architektur heilen hilft’ bridges the gap between the growing body of specialist knowledge on healthcare architecture and the political attention given to health and the built environment. Drawing on selected international examples, it shows how hospitals can become environments that actively support healing, while also highlighting current shortcomings.
We are represented by projects that translate the concept of Healing Architecture into built reality. The focus is on spatial atmosphere, orientation, materiality and the question of how architecture can reduce stress and create positive experiences for patients, relatives and staff.
