Christine Nickl-Weller has been Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of Nickl & Partner Architekten AG since 2019, following many years as Chief Executive Officer. As a co-founder, she has shaped the firm’s conceptual and strategic direction since 1989 and is internationally recognised as one of the leading voices in healthcare architecture. She played a key role in developing the concept of “Healing Architecture” and was an early advocate for the importance of environments promoting healing, support, and recovery in architecture and urban design. Across research, teaching, and practice, she combines architectural quality with scientific depth and social responsibility. From 2004 to 2017, she was a professor at TU Berlin in the field of “Design of Hospitals and Healthcare Buildings.” Christine Nickl-Weller studied architecture at the Technical University of Munich.
