Health care of the future 7 – Healing Architecture 4.0

Christine Nickl-Weller (Ed.) | Stefanie Matthys (Ed.) | Tanja Eichenauer (Ed.)

Digitization and Big Data are reshaping the health care landscape. At the same time, digital technologies in architecture are changing the possibilities of spatial planning and spatial production. Standardization and personalization are two initially contradictory consequences for the hospital of the future. How can these opposites be unified?

Against the background of this question, the close connection between the digital revolution and architectural, medical, media, economic and social aspects in health care is discussed from the point of view of various disciplines and questioned for future-oriented concepts.

This volume documents the lectures of the 7th symposium “Health Care of the Future”, organized by the department “Architecture for Health” of the Technical University Berlin and the “European Network Architecture for Health” in Berlin.

(The volume contains German and English chapters.)

We hope you enjoy reading it!
