We celebrate the completion of the conversion and new building of the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion in Mülheim.

As the new address on the institute grounds, the ground floor of the first construction phase is the entrance area and distribution level with offices and communication rooms. Through its edge line, the laboratory building of the second construction phase merges into the background and opens up the view to the central, less public office building.

With their geometrically varied cubage, functional structure and high quality of stay, the buildings make the new institute a characteristic place for research and work. Individual, loosely arranged extension buildings will create a functional, liveable overall ensemble with the character of a campus.
