
In Ningbo, one of China’s oldest port cities, an interior design concept was developed for Taikang International Hospital that reinterprets the connection between health, culture, and identity. It draws on the history of the location and translates the dynamism of the port into a gently flowing, organic spatial landscape.

Curved shapes, wave-like floor and wall patterns, and natural materials characterize the design theme of water as a symbol of movement, renewal, and healing. Wooden elements and furnishings in warm colors lend the common areas and patient rooms a cozy, calming atmosphere.
