Inauguration of the Center for Reliability Analytics
The establishment of the new Center for Reliability Analytics (CRA) on the Lichtwiese campus marks a pivotal milestone for the technological future of Hesse. Within a dynamic interdisciplinary research environment, departments including Computer Science, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, as well as Electrical and Information Engineering collaborate closely on the digital evaluation and enhancement of the reliability of technical systems.
Spanning approximately 5,000 square meters, the state-of-the-art facility not only provides cutting-edge infrastructure for world-class research but also sets new standards in architectural design and energy efficiency. An innovative energy concept—incorporating photovoltaic panels, intelligent waste heat recovery, and sustainable cooling—ensures a resource-conscious and future-ready energy supply.
At the official opening ceremony on May 6, 2025, Science Minister Timon Gremmels and Finance State Secretary Uwe Becker highlighted the crucial importance of connectivity, interdisciplinarity, and technological innovation in advancing Hesse’s research landscape.
Together with the adjacent Additive Manufacturing Center (AMC), the CRA now forms a striking southern gateway to the Lichtwiese campus—a tangible symbol of progress and collaborative excellence.
With this new facility, we have created a hub for the technologies of tomorrow, and we are proud to be part of this groundbreaking endeavor.
