On 11 February, we celebrated the opening of the Centre for Intensive Care (ZIT) at Augsburg University Hospital – an important step towards sustainable patient care.

Architecturally, the ZIT focuses on clear orientation along the main corridor, short distances and light-flooded corridors. Four inner courtyards bring daylight deep into the building, promote visual connections and create quiet retreat areas. Flexible structures and buffer zones also enable the building to grow with future processes and technologies in intensive care medicine.
