Nickl & Partner Architekten AG wins building design and technology contract for Biberach hospital
A consortium consisting of Nickl & Partner Architekten AG and Süss Beratende Ingenieure GmbH has won the building design and technology contract for a new hospital in the south German town of Biberach an der Riss.
The client, Sana Kliniken Landkreis Biberach GmbH, plans to build a new 350-bed facility to replace the existing district hospital and become the focus of centralised healthcare provision in the region.
The contract for the 18,500-square-metre core hospital, located on a 10-hectare site, will include medical technology departments, wards, secondary and tertiary care centres, building technology, and the area immediately outside the hospital. The maximum gross budget for the project is €75 million.
